Helga’s career encompasses more than 15 years of U.S. and international experience in corporate and agency roles working with startups, NASDAQ-quoted and Fortune 100 companies spanning banking and finance, telecommunications, and high-tech sectors. As president of Helios Communications, Helga is in charge of strategic direction, business development, and overall management of the company.

She has coordinated trade show participation, secured executive speaking opportunities and media interviews at Cable and Satellite MEDIACAST, CeBIT, IBC, Internetworking, NCTA, Networld+Interop, SCTE, and TMA shows, as well as secured editorial briefings and coverage in business, industry and trade press including the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Journal and Constitution, Atlanta Tribune - The Magazine, Black Enterprise, eSecurityplanet.com, Grammy.com, InformationWeek, InfoWorld, Internet World, the Los Angeles Times, TechLinks, Network World, Telecommunications and the Wall Street Journal to name a few.

Her extensive experience includes integrated marketing communications, public relations, project management, business development and sales. Additionally, she has a successful track record of developing and implementing strategies and programs that have resulted in opening new market segments to sell value-added products and services. These included multilingual programs and events in France, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Prior to Helios, she served as senior account manager at Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations where her responsibilities included managing and executing account programs, analyst and media relations, awards efforts, and providing strategic counsel to telecommunications infrastructure companies such as IPG Photonics and Narad Networks.

She also held project management, marketing and public relations positions with Tradepoint Financial Networks, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, GE Americom, GE Capital Spacenet, Gilat Europe, and Golin/Harris International.

Helga obtained her bachelors degree in German and French from the University of London, and a Diploma in Export Management from the Institute of Export, London, England.

Helga is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). In 2002 she served on the board of Women in Technology International (WITI) Atlanta. From 2002 - 2003 she was a founding board member and served as Public Relations Chair for Tuesday Women, now GlobalExecWomen. Helga is a founding board member and served as Marketing Communications Chair of MTech Council, and also served as Co-Chair of the Independent Counselors SIG of PRSA Georgia.
